A metal deck bears over a W10 steel beam and a C6 channel edge member. The C6 channel maintains a two-inch minimum to six-inch maximum overhang from the supporting steel framing. Typical deck attachment secures the metal deck to the underlying steel supports. A shear tab connection frames into the W10 steel beam.
