A through rod is drilled and epoxied into the wall set at the mid-span of the blocking, secured with a six by six by three-eighths inch bearing plate. Wood blocking is installed per details between the joists, tied together with equal spacing. The threaded rod spans through the framing assembly to provide lateral or anchorage bracing.
