A concrete footing measuring two feet six inches wide by one foot four inches deep supports a ten-inch concrete stem wall. The footing reinforcement consists of three continuous number five bars combined with transverse number five bars spaced at fourteen inches on center. Number four dowels spaced at eighteen inches on center with continuous number four bars extend into the stem wall. Additional vertical number four dowels spaced at twelve inches on center terminate with ninety-degree standard hooks at the bottom of the footing. Horizontal number four reinforcing bars are placed at twelve inches on center each face within the stem wall.
