The light gauge steel studs bear onto a track sized to match the wall studs and gauge. An L2x2 clip angle connects the sill track to the jamb stud, secured with three number 10 sheet metal screws on each leg at the top and bottom of the sill. Number 10 sheet metal screws spaced at 12 inches on center typical attach the studs to the track.
