A wide flange beam sits above a post with a deflection sleeve connection formed from a ten millimeter or three-eighths inch plate, engineered to allow fifty millimeters or two inches of downward beam travel. A thirteen millimeter or one-half inch cap plate is welded to the sleeve and beam when the sleeve exceeds the beam flange width. A nine-point-five millimeter or three-eighths inch stiffener plate is centered on the post below, and an L64x64x6.4 or two-and-a-half by two-and-a-half by one-quarter inch angle extends to the nearest panel point.
