A continuous wide-flange beam bears upon a hollow structural section column with angle sections attached to each side. The structural angles feature 1-1/2-inch vertical short slot holes and are fastened with two 3/4-inch diameter ASTM A325 bolts positioned at the bottom of the vertical slots typically. A 3/16-inch fillet weld is applied on three sides as detailed per plan. Clearances include a 1-inch typical clearance and a 1/2-inch minimum typical dimension.
