A steel joist with a top chord extension and a bottom chord extension bears over a supporting steel beam. Nelson studs are provided on beams along brace lines in the north-south direction, sized per plan. A hollow structural section brace with dimensions of 102x102x3.2 and a design force of 65 kN ties into the assembly. A traffic membrane is applied on top of the concrete topping and curbs per architectural drawings.
