A hollow structural section steel column connects to a base plate welded to the column perimeter and anchored to a concrete footing. Anchor rods with double nuts and washers secure the assembly, seated above a one-inch leveling grout space set above the top of the footing. Dimensions indicate a one-and-one-half-inch edge distance from the anchor rods to the edge of the base plate. Rod embedment, projection, and plate sizes are sized per the column schedule.
