A wide-flange beam frames into a hollow structural section column using a skewed shear tab connection. The column can be square, rectangular, or round, with dimension designations for sizing per structural requirements. A single-plate shear tab is welded to the face of the column at a skewed angle to receive the incoming beam web. The wide-flange beam is sized as specified per the structural plan.
