A built-up structural tee section sits atop a wide-flange steel beam, embedded within a concrete slab per plan. Shear studs are welded through the slab into the top flange of the tee section. The structural tee may be fabricated from plates at the contractor's option. A schedule lists beam marks including BU37x111, BU40x107, and BU40x125.
