A continuous masonry wall runs parallel to a wide flange beam supporting a concrete slab on steel deck. A bent plate measuring 4x5/16 by 1 foot 3 inches wide connects to the wall with a vertical laminated strand lumber member and two 1/2 inch diameter anchor rods spaced at 12 inches on center grouted in the cell. Two 5/8 inch diameter threaded studs at 9 inch gauge are welded to the bottom of the beam flange to anchor a horizontal laminated strand lumber member parallel to the wall in an angle. A finger tight nut with peened threads prevents loosening at the connection to the underside of the beam. A brace connects to each bent plate, with a maximum 1 foot variation.
