An exterior concrete stemwall rests on a continuous concrete footing with a top-of-footing elevation coordinated per plan. The stemwall features two continuous number five reinforcing bars placed at twelve inches on center with a typical two-inch clearance. Number five dowels with standard ninety-degree hooks at each end are spaced at one foot six inches on center. Horizontal dowels tie into the slab-on-grade reinforcement matching the interior slab conditions. An exterior slab transitions adjacent to the stemwall with dimensions and width coordinated with architectural and civil drawings.
