A concrete housekeeping pad is positioned over a slab on grade with its location and extents coordinated with mechanical systems. The pad features number 4 reinforcing bars at 16 inches on center each way, transitioning to a lap splice detail with the main slab reinforcing. At the perimeter of the pad, dowels are installed by drilling and using epoxy per structural sheet S002. The housekeeping pad rises up to an 8-inch maximum height above the main slab elevation.
