A continuous concrete footing supports a one foot six inch concrete curb alongside a concrete slab. The continuous footing is sized per plan and footing schedule, reinforced with longitudinal and transverse rebar, and supported by rammed aggregate piers below. Two number five longitudinal bars and number five long bars at twelve inches on center reinforce the concrete curb. Number five dowels at twelve inches on center tie the curb to the footing with alternate hook directions. An isolation joint with rigid joint filler strip separates the curb from the slab, while rigid insulation sits beneath the slab per architectural specifications.
