This concrete edge detail shows a cast-in or post-installed curb tied to a reinforced concrete slab. The assembly incorporates two continuous number four top and bottom bars within the curb, tied with number four hairpins or stirrups spaced at twelve inches on center. The joint interface uses an adhesive anchor to bond the new or doweled curb into the existing or hardened slab below. Typical slab reinforcement extends into the main deck with a two-inch clear dimension as sized per plan.
