Steel beams frame into a hollow structural section steel column utilizing welded single plate shear tabs. The shear tab is welded to the column face and bolted to the steel beam web with typical three-inch bolt spacing. A five-sixteenth fillet weld is specified at designated locations on three sides. Additional notes indicate specific weld requirements at W1 locations only.
