A structural steel connection detail featuring a half-inch thick end plate welded flush to the end of a wide-flange beam. Two six-by-six by one-half-inch structural angles measuring six inches long connect to the web of the framing member. A one-quarter-inch fillet weld is applied to three sides typically at the angle connections. An additional one-quarter-inch fillet weld runs along the top and bottom of the end plate joint.
