An MC12 channel beam connects to a typical structural stringer using a quarter-inch thick plate welded to the stringer with three-sixteenths inch fillet welds on both sides. The connection is secured with three three-quarters inch diameter machine bolts spaced at three inches vertically, with a one and a half inch edge distance. The stringer and beam sizes are sized per plan, and the top finish is also specified per plan.
