An L4x4x1/4x1'-3" structural steel angle is anchored to each side of a masonry bond beam with two 5/8-inch diameter expansion anchors featuring a 4-inch embedment spaced at 12 inches on center. A typical top-of-wall gap is maintained between the masonry wall and the overhead concrete slab or beam. Edge distances of 6 inches minimum are maintained to the concrete edge. This detail is explicitly restricted from use at post-tensioned slabs.
