A structural steel beam connects to a hollow structural section column using a single plate shear tab that slots directly through the column profile. The web of the beam fastens to the shear tab with a multi-row bolted configuration sized per structural schedules. The number and size of bolts in the first and second rows are detailed on the framing plan and notes. Top of steel elevations are aligned and referenced to the plan layout.
