These details show structural steel column base connections supported by wide-flange beams, featuring both wide-flange and HSS or pipe steel columns as sized per plan or schedule. The column is secured with a three-quarter-inch base plate and four three-quarter-inch-diameter A325N bolts. A half-inch stiffener plate is welded to both sides of the supporting beam web with a three-sixteenths fillet weld on three sides, sized to match the beam width or the beam flange width as required. Minimum welds comply with AISC specifications, and column webs and flanges are welded to the base plate accordingly. Web depth dimensions and gage distances are detailed per AISC manual standards.
