A reinforced concrete grade beam ties into a concrete pedestal supporting a structural steel column. The column base plate sits on leveling nuts over the concrete footing and is secured with anchor bolts embedded into the foundation. A concrete slab-on-grade bears against the pedestal atop compacted sub-base and gravel. Reinforcing steel bars are detailed within the grade beam maintaining a two-inch clearance.
