A thickened concrete slab-on-grade footing supports stair framing where required, with the stringer attachment provided by the stair supplier. The footing is reinforced with two continuous number five bars and transverse number five bars spaced at twelve inches on center. The thickened concrete footing extends twelve inches beyond each stair stringer.
