A structural steel davit and tieback socket pedestal is mounted to a beam intersection with three-quarter-inch square minimum base plates measuring twelve inches. Three-eighth-inch stiffener plates are welded to each side of the beam with quarter-inch typical fillet welds. Additional half-inch by four-inch plates are attached to each side with quarter-inch fillet welds to the flanges and webs. A three-eighth-inch fillet weld secures the davit to the beam flanges.
