This assembly connects a steel beam to a hanging column using a three-quarter-inch by ten-inch by ten-inch plate. The connection is secured with four three-quarter-inch diameter bolts spaced at six inches on center each way. A full-height connection plate is provided at the beam, with a three-eighths-inch stiffener plate installed where no beam occurs. The beam assembly includes sheathing and DLT (dowel laminated timber) per plan, with the screen framing attached per the architectural drawings. A three-eighths-inch fillet weld is specified for the stiffener plate connection.
