A buckling restrained brace connects to a base plate and gusset assembly anchored to a concrete foundation. The assembly features a two-inch-thick Grade 50 base plate secured by eight two-inch-diameter anchor rods of ASTM F1554 Grade 105 steel, with three-quarter by five by zero-foot-five-inch plate washers at each anchor rod. The anchor rods have a seven-and-a-half-inch projection and a two-foot-six-inch embedment depth, accompanied by hairpins as indicated in foundation details. The gusset and associated welds to the structure are provided by the buckling restrained brace provider.
