A hollow structural section member connects to a concrete shear wall via a welded embed plate equipped with headed anchors. An angle measuring L4x4x1/2 is welded to the hollow structural section on each side using typical three-sided fillet welds. The embed plate is welded to the hollow structural section around three sides on each side.
