A structural steel connection plan details a shear plate welded to a stiffener plate at the column centerline unless otherwise noted. The stiffener plate is secured to the column with a five-sixteenths inch fillet weld. The shear plate to stiffener plate connection top and bottom is sized per sheet 6/S-503 or 12/S-503.
