Steel beams connect to a braced frame column using bolted shear tabs and top and bottom continuity plates matched to the beam thickness. A gusset plate with a typical one and one-half inch by one and one-half inch snip is welded to the framing members using five-sixteenths inch fillet welds. Concrete over metal floor deck frames into the assembly at the upper beam level. The column and beam sizes are sized per plan and schedule.
