Reinforcing bar hook development length detailing shows standard bend geometry and cover requirements relative to the face of concrete or pour joint. The detail specifies bar diameter multiples for tail extension lengths, bend diameters, and embedment dimensions. A minimum concrete clearance is maintained at the outer bend. Total hook development length is determined per structural schedules.
