An open-web steel truss bears on a continuous 5/16-inch bent plate ledger anchored to a precast concrete wall panel. The truss seat incorporates two 3/8-inch gusset plates centered at the truss, alongside a 3/4-inch by 8-inch by 1-foot-0-inch plate. A single continuous number 5 reinforcing bar runs horizontally within the wall. Straps and pins secure the top chord to the wall per nailing notes, with fillet welds specified at structural connections. The joist manufacturer designs the seat to transfer axial loads from the wall to the joist, and joists at or adjacent to columns require two 3/4-inch diameter ASTM A307 erection bolts through 1-inch slotted holes parallel to the joist in the bearing plate.
