Post-tensioned concrete beams frame continuously through a reinforced concrete column with sizing and reinforcement governed per plan and schedule. Top and bottom beam reinforcing bars continue directly through the concrete column core. A minimum of two post-tensioning tendons run along through the column core with center of gravity of steel positioned per plan. Construction joints are located at the top and bottom of the column connection, adjacent to a thickened slab edge.
