Incoming steel beams frame into the centerline of a supporting beam web using welded plate connections sized per Table H. Perpendicular and skewed framing configurations accommodate varying angles up to a six and one-half to twelve maximum slope. For connections framing from both sides, the total plate thickness equals the sum of the required thicknesses for each incoming beam. Fillet welds secure the connection plates to the supporting web typical each side.
