Steel joist bridging is constructed using 3x3x1/4 inch structural angles for both horizontal and diagonal members, fastened together with bolts. Connection angles measuring 4 inches and 8 inches link the bridging members back to the supporting structural element. Five-eighths inch diameter expansion bolts anchor the connection assembly to the concrete or masonry support. A 3/16 inch fillet weld is specified at the structural connection interface.
