A concrete masonry wall terminates below a concrete slab edge using a bent plate measuring one-quarter inch by one foot three inches. A structural steel angle measuring four by three by five-sixteenths inches by nine inches long connects to the bent plate with three-sixteenth-inch fillet welds at each end. Two one-half-inch-diameter expansion anchors with three-and-one-quarter-inch embedment secure the assembly at one foot on center. A bond beam is integrated into the wall, maintaining a typical top-of-wall gap.
