A reinforced concrete slab over metal deck bears on a masonry wall with a continuous 1-inch by 3-inch shim plate and one-half-inch diameter by 6-inch heavy stud anchors spaced at 24 inches on center. The metal decking stops short of running continuously over the wall to maintain a 2-inch minimum gap. Dowels tied into the masonry wall extend into the concrete slab per detail 2/S220. The masonry wall requires sizing and reinforcing per plan and schedule.
