A typical steel stud intersects a continuous bottom track with number ten sheet metal screws spaced at twenty-four inches on center from stud to stud. Additional number ten sheet metal screws are placed on each side at each stud. A powder-actuated fastener is installed per sheet S0.20 at a maximum spacing of six inches.
