This assembly features a steel beam connected to a wide-flange or hollow structural section column via a connection plate. The connection plate thickness is determined per the project schedule. The beam is secured to the column using seven-eighths inch diameter bolts, with the size and number of bolts specified per the schedule. Bolt spacing is set at three inches typical unless noted otherwise. The connection length is determined per American Institute of Steel Construction Table 10-10a.
