An HSS4x4 structural steel member connects to a concrete wall adjacent to a brick wall assembly. The connection utilizes L5x3 1/2x1/2x0'-10" steel angles secured with three-quarter-inch diameter all-thread epoxy anchors set in Hilti HIT-HY 200 adhesive with a thirteen-inch effective embedment. A quarter-inch cap plate seals the bottom of the hollow structural section with typical three-sixteenth-inch fillet welds.
