A TJI joist bears on a continuous 1-3/4 inch Laminated Strand Lumber ledger, fastened to wall studs with six 16d-short nails per stud and four per blocking. An ITS2.37/16 hanger secures the joist with four 10d nails driven into flat 2x blocking. A flat 2x4 by 1 foot 6 inch member is installed at each H2.5A hurricane tie location where the tie does not align with joists. H2.5A ties are spaced at 48 inches on center. TJI joist blocking is spaced at 48 inches on center, with the joist connected to blocking via 8d toenails at top and bottom. Wall studs extend continuously to the top of the parapet, reaching a maximum height of 2 feet 6 inches above the top of the roof sheathing.
