A structural steel beam connects to a frame or perimeter girder web through a matching full-height shear plate welded with five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds. A diagonal L4x4x3/8 long-leg-horizontal kicker brace ties into the assembly using two three-quarter-inch diameter A490 slip-critical bolts at each end. Edge distances and fastener spacings are proportioned as multiples of the bolt diameter based on the dimension "H" exceeding fourteen inches. Additional configuration criteria reference the typical condition detail shown elsewhere in the drawing set.
