A cold-formed metal stud wall interfaces with an overhead concrete-filled metal deck at the mezzanine floor line utilizing a continuous 3-inch deep slotted track. The deep track accommodates vertical movement via slotted holes secured with two number 8 screws at 24 inches on center to internal blocking. One-eighth inch fillet welds secure the track to the underside of the metal deck ribs at 12 inches on center. The cold-formed metal stud wall is fastened to blocking with two number 8 screws at each stud.
