A continuous concrete masonry unit wall runs parallel to a wide flange steel beam supporting a concrete on steel deck floor assembly. Two 5/8-inch diameter threaded studs at 9-inch gauge are welded to the bottom flange of the beam, securing a horizontal laminated strand lumber member parallel to the wall inside an angle. Nuts are installed finger-tight with peened threads to prevent loosening. A bent plate measuring 4 inches by 5/16 inches by 1 foot 3 inches wide is installed with vertical laminated strand lumber and two 1/2-inch diameter anchor rods at 12 inches on center grouted in the cell. The wall features a bond beam and extends to a typical wall top connection at the next floor with a variable offset up to 1 foot 8 inches maximum.
