An L4x4x1/4 angle brace extends to the top flange of the nearest steel beam below a metal roof deck. A 1/4 inch by 5 inch by 0 foot 5 inch connection plate is welded to each brace with a 3/16 inch fillet weld. The assembly is skewed as required per plan.
