An HSS 5x5x1/4 bottom outrigger connects adjacent concrete panels at a vertical joint using a 6x6x1/2 by 10-inch angle plate fastened with two three-quarter-inch diameter by 5-inch long working studs in one leg. The angle plate features a full penetration weld to the angle plate typically on each side. The outrigger ties into 3-5/8 inch by 18-gauge metal studs with 18-gauge continuous track secured by four number 8 screws at the top and bottom. A 10x1/2x8-inch plate is detailed at the connection with 3/16 inch and 5/16 inch fillet welds.
