An interior slab-on-grade features a two-inch bearing on a concrete foundation wall with a slab depression at the entrance per architectural drawings. Compressible filler and a bond breaker separate the interior slab from the exterior slab on grade. The top outer reinforcing bar in the foundation wall is positioned to clear the bearing zone. Thickness and reinforcement are sized per structural plans or schedules.
