A davit socket pedestal is mounted on a steel plate or beam flange and extends through the concrete-filled metal deck and roofing assembly. Additional reinforcement consists of four number five bars at six feet zero inches each way, with standard hooks provided at the slab edge where applicable. The socket design is provided by others. Field welding requirements specify three-eighths inch typical welds.
