Where the clear spacing of openings is less than three times the opening diameter, an effective opening outline encompasses the grouped penetrations. All such conditions require one number 5 top and bottom added trim bar all around the effective opening, extending one foot six inches beyond the effective opening on each side typically. Diagonal bars are not required for this configuration.
