Steel decking is installed parallel to supporting steel beams with a reinforced concrete slab above. Welded studs are attached through the steel deck to the beams as required, with additional number three bars at six-foot lengths spaced at twelve inches on center for W24 and deeper beams. A continuous number three bar is wired to the studs to support welded wire fabric or reinforcement. Minimum bearing is provided at the perimeter edge beam with an edge form and specified concrete clearances.
