The subgrade is prepared per the soils report and specifications, topped with a layer of clean free-draining material. A fifteen-mil visqueen type moisture barrier is installed over the subgrade, followed by a two-inch layer of clean sand. The concrete slab-on-grade is placed per plan with reinforcement located at the mid-depth of the slab.
